160 km – Hageland & Dijleland Experience
This route combines the most beautiful gravel roads of the Dijleland and Hageland, two classic gravel regions of the province. The difference with the 250 km route is that this one does not loop around Brussels but instead cuts through the east of Brussels, heading north and then reconnecting with the longest route.
This route offers the best of both worlds. On one hand, it focuses on the stunning gravel roads of the Brabantse Wouden, where Mathieu van der Poel claimed the world championship in 2024 and Jasper Stuyven secured the European/Belgian championship in 2023. On the other hand, it takes you over the decisive gravel roads of the professional race Dwars door het Hageland, including the beautiful Demerbroekstraat, the dusty Prinsenbos, and the iconic Demerdijk.
Highlights:
- Maagdentoren – Scherpenheuvel-Zichem
- De Kluis – Sint-Joris-Weert
- Parc of Tervuren – Tervuren
- Recreatiedomein Hofstade
- Sven Nys Cycling Centrum – Baal
